…Passes Vote of Confidence on Tinubu, Oborevwori, others
Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Patani Local Government Area, has constituted a 5- man panel of inquiry over an alleged signatory forgery of party members and security agents to impeach Uduophori Ward 09 executive members.
The 5-man panel of inquiry will be chaired by Mr.Dick Clifford esq, with a two week ultimatum to investigate and report back to the local government party executive.
It was learned that some members of the party in Uduophori Ward 09 has allegedly forged signatories of persons and two serving security agents to petition the chairman of the ward.
“This is to affirm that the leadership of APC Ward 09 remains committed to peace, discipline, internal democracy, and the sanctity of party structures.”
According to the statement signed by Dr. Samson Akpibere, “Arising from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ward 09, emergency meeting convened at the instance of the Patani Local Government Party Chairman, Comrade Oruma Julius, addressed the ongoing conflict among members of the Ward Executive Council.
“The central issue of concern was a petition submitted against the Ward Chairman, Chief Freeborn Ebioma, and the Ward Secretary, Chief James Igwe.
“Several members whose names appeared on the petition publicly disassociated themselves from it as they alleged that their signatures were forged by the petitioner.
In response to these troubling revelations, the ward leadership, in consultation with the local government chairman, constituted a 5-member panel of enquiry to investigate the matters thoroughly.
The committee is saddled with the responsibilities to Investigate the immediate and remote cause of the petition and determine why the Party chairman was not notified.
“To identify the source and purpose of the ₦3,000 distributed and their sponsor/sponsors and uncover those responsible for forging the signatures of individuals who did not endorse the petition.”
Other members of the committee are, Hon. Vincent Oborikpo secretary, Mr. Innocent Ekere, Mrs. Nikoro Sunshine Lucy, and Comrade Igidigi Paradise.The committee has two weeks to submit its report, with the following terms of reference.
In a related development, leaders, stakeholders and members of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Patani have passed a vote of Confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the leadership of Comr Oruma Julius, Patani LGA Chairman and Chief Freeborn Ebioma, Uduophori Ward 09 chairman respectively.
The motion for the vote of confidence on their leadership to reinforce the unity of the party in Patani and Uduophori was moved by Hon. Vincent Oborikpo and seconded by High Chief Pope Evugbomore and it was unanimously adopted.
